So that.s where the manpads went. RIP.
At this point any additional American lives lost are a completely unnecessary sacrifice. Obama put the Afghan operation into a holding pattern then gradual decline from the moment he took office and has no intention of actually defeating the bad guys. The Afghan government is corrupt and inept and will once again fall to the Taliban the moment the Americans leave. Why delay the inevitable? Leave the place and do an occasional strike on a terrorist training base once the rats come out of their holes.
Huge thread on Avherald. It looks more like a load shift and a stall.
The High angle departure that a lighly loaded 747-400 can perform can put a heck of a load on the cargo hold downs.
Who’s plane?
You hit it exactly.
As soon as Beezle announced when we were pulling out (2014) the few Afghans that had come to our side quit. They know what will happen when we leave, a bloodbath purging the 'collaborators'.
It is pointless to waste lives and money on a lost cause. Worse than pointless, criminal.
Same question here - got a buddy who flies for Atlas and makes this run pretty regularly.
National Air Cargo, per AVHerald.com. Crew of 8
Exactly. Purge of the collaborators, bloodbath and influx of refugees.
Criminally stupid.
A real shame.
God....
