Wondering how his team mates are dealing with this now... beyond the obvious coaching to be politically correct and pretend their “good to go” with it.

I would bet money he is not gonna play next year, he’ll write a book and make much more that way. Real win win for him, either someone signs him to bask in the media glow or no one does and he can claim discrimination, more fodder for his book.
More lucrative than a book would be a basketball broadcasting gig on one of the rapidly growing sports cable TV or radio networks. That's where the name recognition he gets from this "coming out" party could really translate into big bucks.
