Given that the states have never delegated to Congress via the Constituiton the specific powers to regulate either adoption or marriage, the Founding States having made the 10th Amendment to clarify that the Constitution’s silence about such issues means that they are uniquely state power issues, federal legislator Ryan seems to be politicking as follows. He seems to be exploiting widespread voter ignorance of the Constitution’s division of federal and state government powers, just like Obama did, possibly positioning himself for his party’s nomination for president.

Since this question relates to the natural moral law, the arguments that follow are addressed not only to those who believe in Christ, but to all persons committed to promoting and defending the common good of society.
Ryan can go join the Dems and take Rubio with him.
The idea that children are better off adopted by "anything", than they would be if not adopted is illogical. It suggests that nothing is worse than a children's home or a foster arrangement.
No mikey, most of us disagree with you and are against homosexuals adopting children.
Children raised by homosexuals have terrible, terrible problems. Many studies have shown this. Much more likely to be sexually molested, become homosexual themselves, turn to drugs/alcohol, relationship problems, behavior and school problems, etc. Why should any children be raised by mentally ill sex perverts? You think that’s a decent plan?
There are countless numbers of normal married couples wanting to adopt and there are not enough children due to abortion. So the argument that “any” “parents” are better than none is specious and deceitful of Ryan. He’s either incredibly stupid and ignorant or loathesome. I don’t care which, I thought he was a decent VP candidate and boy oh boy was I wrong.
Our choices for presidential elections have been:
D: Virulent steaming hot poison that acts very quickly
R: Lukewarm poison that doesn’t taste quite as acrid and kills just a little slower
That’s it.
I will never vote for the lukewarm poison ever again. It’s not worth the stamp, or the gas to drive to town to put it in the box. Or the sick feeling.
That is just rich from them...the same church that has ruined more millions more kids lives through violence and abuse than gay parents could ever have a chance to dream of...
What I believe Norm is saying and I agree with is:
It’s better to have Obama taking away our liberties so that the democrats get the back lash, than to have Republicans taking away our liberties.
Romney’s policies were the same as Obamas. Obamacare was based on Romneycare. Romney promoted known homosexual activists to the judicial branch. Romney passed gun control legislation. Romney was a weathervane on abortion. Romney ran on the same hope/change platform that Obama did.
There was no difference. So if liberal polices were going to be implemented, then let the Democrats who claimed to stand for liberal policies do it, rather than the republicans.
Pretty well sums it up. Your facts are not arguable, though many try. But you are indeed right.
I've pretty much decided that these "conservatives" crossing over to the dark side are not worried about campaign donations. They must be getting welfare related kickbacks, or something. For every dollar going towards welfare, Congress probably skims off 10% for themselves.

“Adoption by homosexuals is worse than nothing, i.e., foster care or orphanage.”
I’m not convinced..... but then again I don’t subscribe to the fact that all homos are raging perverts.
I am not a Catholic but I object to that baseless villification of the Catholic Church. It’s insane, actually. Maybe you shoudl start your own “Why the Catholic Church is evil” thread.
Ok then. One more Republican that will never get elected as President...
Why Mr Ryan, would you place a child with 2 or more perverts?
“You really want to claim the GOP did a damn thing to stop him on FR?”
My comment was to you not to FR....
A homosexual is BY DEFINITION A PERVERT!
What on earth????
Same sex sodomy is perversion! By dictionary definition! It used to be called the crime against nature!
Are you that ignorant???
Funny, that 's a similar argument from some abortion lovers. If a child does not have a loving person or couple, it is better for it never to be born. Will that be your next "evolution," Paul?
I used to like Paul Ryan.
Look, children raised by homosexuals have a much higher rate of being sexually molested, plus a host of other problems.
You’re fine with that? You honestly believe that all homosexuals aren’t “perverts” or is it just not “raging perverts”?
Homosexuals are never monogamous, btw. Even when “married”. And 1/3 of all child molestation is same sex - aka by homosexuals. That means nothing to you?
