Along the same lines, women on aircraft carriers earn as much as their male counterparts, but I have yet to see women hefting a hernia bar to attach a 500- or 1,000-pound bomb to a fighter jet wing. All of this suggests that liberals are for equal pay for unequal work.

Not quite, they expect the fighter jet to be redesigned so that a woman can do that job. Around here, they rewrote the work rules of wild-land firefighters so that women could "man" the crews. The result is that they don't fight fires, they either stand around yucking it up while they let houses burn or they bring in prison crews to do the dirty work.
