I would argue that “ideology trumps logic and reason” every time doesn’t hold true for Conservative ideology, certainly not in economic policies. Lower taxes and less regulation either fosters economic growth or it doesn’t - it does - but they’d say, “I disagree.” Well, that’s absurd. We’ve tried it both ways and the results are clear. They like to cite Clinton’s taxes, but they leave out the part where they caused a recession. It’s absurd. And that’s just economic policy. Pick your poison (your issue). Our opposites are loons, yet they hold themselves up as more intelligent. It’s maddening.
