In MD ( THE Freak state)(Montgomery county), they require MPDUs (moderately priced dwelling units) to be constructed in some proportion in any development over 50 units. Some years ago MPDUs were built in Avenel (a wealthy golf course subdivision). The recipients of the counties largesse complained that the smaller brick units looked like slave quarters! Ingrates.
