That sums it up well. Fake but accurate? Libs think in parables. Put out a false narrative and then try and teach the masses the moral lesson behind it.
It reminds me of when conservatives refuse to vote for RINOs in general elections to teach the other RINOs a lesson about nominating true conservatives. Except we don't do well enough to get the word out explaining what happened after a candidate goes down in defeat. The MSM controls the message that the GOP just is not reaching enough population segments...racists, homophobic, chauvinistic, anti-immigration, anti-muslim, anti-.....just be more diverse and inclusive....be moderate, etc. is all the GOP needs to do to bring more into the tent.
Libs lie and fake and then control the narrative to convert the BS into a "teachable moment". Think everything from Sandy Burglar to Valery Plame and Dan Rather. We never challenge the premise but argue about their "teachings".
Example: GW Bush tried to fix Social Security, remember? He and his administration got stuck when they argued about whether or not he was trying to privatize it. He would have done better to just adopt privatization and push the agenda as a positive thing because government routinely fails at running anything. "Privatization is a good thing." Instead we are still hung with a political culture narrative where Privatization = evil, crony capitalism and corruption that will victimize every single American.
Well, sounds like a good idea....go ahead and get started.
