There’s another thing that might come into play here, and I might be wrong of course. It’s one thing to fire at a range, where a person has hearing protection. It’s another to hear live gunfire that’s LOUD AND CLOSE. You know what? I think the loud noise of the guns was scaring her even if some of it was coming from her partner, and she just wanted it to STOP. He did the right thing by continuing firing.

Once on his knees, the perp kept looking back and forth between his gun and the cops. Looks to me like he was trying to clear a jam or change mags. Which is why the cop kept shooting him until he stopped doing that.
