The Republicans can run against Obama and Obamacare...

That would have been a better strategy in 2012 than the campaign they ran which was "Obama's a nice guy, we all like him but we think he ought to retire" and "Obamacare is okay, it just needs to be fixed". What makes you think they'd do the obvious this time?

Don't worry, after learning from the campaigns of McCain and Romney, the GOP has finally settled to listening to its base -- that's right, they're going to push for a woman that's experienced in politics:

Seriously though, do you really think that they'll ever again endorse a "hardcore 'conservative'"? If nothing else their actions in [not] opposing the sorts of overreaches we've seen the government take in the last decade or so is proof that they are complicit in the system that is grinding everything down.
