Assad's forces capture strategic town in southern Syria

(Reuters) - The Syrian army captured a strategic southern town from rebel fighters on Wednesday after a ferocious two-month bombardment, in an advance likely to result in President Bashar al-Assad's forces regaining control of an international transit route, opposition sources said.

Assad has a loyal base in the Alawites and other minorities in Syria, who know they will be massacred if the Sunni-islamists
take over.

He may have his back to the wall, but he is not alone.

Obama and his cult want to arm jihadis with AKs and heavy machine guns, train them to install a muslim hellhole government, but at the same time want to disarm American citizens while demonzing in language that usually gets people sent to the Hague for war crimes, something is wrong here.
