What it takes to win a Heisman at QB and what it takes to be successful in the NFL are two different things.
“Like Eric Crouch?”
He was a triple-option quarterback. Compare his college passing stats with Tebow’s - especially completion percentage. They aren’t close.
“Or Jason White?”
Had to take all snaps from shotgun because his knees didn’t allow him to drop back.
“Chris Weinke?”
Graduated at age 28 (or thereabouts.) He played a few years in the NFL.
