Interesting that four of the five relate to Islam.

Syria is calling. Barry is irritating lefties because of his war/Gitmo stances. Everywhere he seems to be turning lately, there’s controversy (and justly).

AP has had their liips so tight against Obama’s backside for so long, they really deserve this!

This is all too convenient. I believe the head of the AP is in on this entire fake scandal.

Something very sinister is happening. This along with the IRS story is unfolding in order to keep our eyes off the real story.

I believe it is the immigration bill. If that evil bill is passed, it is checkmate for our Republic.

In one report “In a letter of protest sent to Attorney General Eric Holder on Monday, AP President and Chief Executive Officer Gary Pruitt said the government sought and obtained information far beyond anything that could be justified by any specific investigation. He demanded the return of the phone records and destruction of all copies. “

So how did the AP President know this occurred? This was in the context of leaking info pertaining to a terrorist plot. I smell a distraction and once we are at the bottom of it WE may agree that those AP phones SHOULD have been tapped. Need more info

I don’t know. All these scandals are mounting on Obummer.

He won’t be able to get anything through because of all the distractions.

Senators who might have voted for one of his projects/bills are now under fire.

“Low Level Employees”
“Long Ago”
“What does it matter?”
“The leader was a Bush Appointee”
“It was this Anti-Islamic video”
Etc.

The most obvious "et cetera":

"This program was initiated during my predecessor's term"

The government would not say why it sought the records. U.S. officials have previously said in public testimony that the U.S. attorney in Washington is conducting a criminal investigation into who may have leaked information contained in a May 7, 2012, AP story about a foiled terror plot. The story disclosed details of a CIA operation in Yemen that stopped an al-Qaida plot in the spring of 2012 to detonate a bomb on an airplane bound for the United States.

The Obama/Holder Dept. of Just Us and Our People want to know why AP did not connect the racist, white supremacist "tea baggers" to the plot.

No, the Admin wanted to find out the CIA’s sources in Yemen. It was the CIA that foiled the plot, and the AP reporters had done an article on how the CIA had followed up the leads and prevented the attack.

The problem was that this news was coming out just when Obama was boasting about the anniversary of OBL’s death (as if Bambi had anything to do with it!) and this would have undermined the narrative that Osama was just a sort of isolated one-off and that Obama had destroyed all our enemies by killing him.

So the Obama regime classified the whole thing, after the article had already been written, and then started trying to determine the reporters’ sources. I think he planned - and perhaps still plans - on prosecuting them.

The ‘Rat coalition is fracturing. They have run out of OPM and are canabalizing themselves. They are broke. I just love it when the left forms a circular firing squad. I am afraid the GOP isn’t smart enough to avoid stepping into the ring. Pass the popcorn please.

Take with a grain of salt. I know there's more, like Solyndra, NLRB scandal, Fast & Furious, 0bama's illegal overturning of Federal Immigration Law, Funding Muslim Brotherhood (F-16's and $250 million), and etc..

The ones I listed are recent chatter, thanks.

If this were a republican admin, the lead on every news show would be about the chilling effect on the first amendment.

Trust but verify.

I'm pretty sure if the WH was listening in on AP phone lines they would have been appropriately pleased with the level of pro-Obama toadiness they heard.

Why tap the phones? He could have just turned around and asked them while they were on their knees behind him kissing his ass.

I wonder if this was to topic of the behind closed meeting before the Jay Carney press conference....?

Yeah, Carney has to be on suicide watch. There's a point at which multiple scandals serve to mask one another, and another point at which they actually feed one another. The latter is what happened to Nixon and just might be what's happening now.

Sure would be sweet if we found...an 18-minute gap in the phone records.

Old times...

But .. but the proposed universal background checks would surely never result in a database that could ever possibly be abused by our ever so trustworthy government./sarc

I am ashamed to put the /sarc tag there, but any Lefties reading this might actually not get it, so I defer to the “lowest common denomonator” reader.
