It's too early in the game...but probably the majority of Democrats think the Tea Party types deserve the treatment they got from the IRS. The media will rally to Obama's defense if he really seems to be in trouble. As a last resort, the Democrats will threaten a race war if the Republicans make any steps towards impeaching Obama.
As long as Obama has control of the media (which he still does despite a few turncoats), he’ll survive any impeachment attempt. Because while the media still supports him, they keep news about Obama’s scandals away from the public. The public at large must be outraged to force impeachment hearings much less convict Barack. If you asked the average Obama voter about the many scandals currently engulfing the Obama admin, I doubt he or she would know what you’re talking about. They’re that dense. Only a media committed to ousting a president, like with Nixon, could generate enough noise to crowbar Barack out of the Oval Office. As it stands, there’s still too few media voices willing to let go of their all-time favorite prez.
If it were me, I’d draw up separate articles of impeachment for each scandal.
Let the Senate vote to acquit first on Benghazi, then on AP, then on the IRS and then on Fast and Furious. One at a time, let the Democrat Party in the Senate go on record as supporting criminal and lawless behavior, and then beat them bloody with that information at the mid-term elections.

to Newsmax: IRS Scandal Reaches to White House

Cleta Mitchell, one of Washington’s most respected elections attorneys, told Newsmax she has tangible proof that high-ranking IRS officials in Washington were fully aware of the agency’s campaign to target conservative groups for heightened scrutiny, despite their denials.
And she thinks the president knew about the practice, too. If proven, she said, it could be an impeachable offense.
Mitchell, in an interview with Newsmax TV on Tuesday, said she was told by a Cincinnati IRS agent that applications by two of her conservative clients were being processed by — and would ultimately be approved or denied in — Washington.
