a little comedic relief during these intense times of upheaval gubamint implosion..

An overwhelming 97 percent of climatologists endorse the idea of human-caused global warming
Yes, and they say scientists in the title. Quite comical, if it werent so tragicomical that is.

Back when I was a kid, you know, less than 20 years ago, we called this “climate change” stuff ‘seasons’.

I've always wondered what percentage of climatologists were total morons. Now I know.
97% seems kind of high, but there it is. You can't argue with facts.
To: NormsRevenge
Of course Climate Change is real. That is the definition of climate (a dynamic system....)
What is in dispute are the cause and effects as well as the massive corruption in how science is being used.

Ridiculously transparent of Obama to mandate the release of this information (don’t mention it to him, he’ll just deny it and reward the publisher). And Al Gore will ask for some more ice cream cones in his private jets.

Climate change is real
So is Jesus!

Sorry Mr. Scientist, but we don’t believe you anymore. Credibility counts.

Maybe there was the 97% because there was no funding for opposite results and the 3% are accidental or self funded.

Well of course!
One is not ALLOWED to be called a “climatologist” UNLESS one is for AGW.
Where does one study and get credentialed in this particular “science’ anyway?

Not all of the 97% are morons. Some of them have to be the evil geniuses / masterminds of the plot.

Its so real that they have to change its name every couple years and constantly revise their doom and gloom scenarios.
Of course, climate change is real. Climate changes. That’s a natural process. The planet has been really cold and it has been really hot. It survives and life adapts.
But humans do not change it!

“The public perception of a scientific consensus on [anthropogenic global warming] is a necessary element in public support for climate policy,” conclude the study’s authors. And yet, according to Pew Internet Research (PDF), 57 percent of Americans are unaware that there is an overwhelming scientific consensus.
Translation: “we need the support of the people, but they ain't buying into our krap because they're stupid.”

I just heard a radio show about that today. The way they got that 97% figure is they sent out 10,000 surveys to scientists and climatologists and they got back 77. 75 of the 77 believed that man is the cause. 2 disagreed. Yes climate change is real. It is the cause that is still unknown.

I used to date a cosmologist or was she a cosmetologist? my memory fails me,, must be global varming..jaa..

Climate change? Who knows? Man made? Sorry,no sale.Too much evidence...*scientific* evidence...of changes in climate that occurred while mankind was still hunting mastodons that were far more dramatic than anything that *might* be happening now. Also, there have been articles recently that have stated both that there's evidence that the sun has recently been putting out more energy than it historically does *and* that there's evidence that the other planets of our solar system have also been warming recently. Not many SUVs on Mercury I'm told.
And...anyone who's ever been to China recently (as I have) knows that the clearest day you'll possibly see there is far worse than the worst day you'll see in LA or London. And unlike London what you're seeing there is caused by 10,000 coal powered power plants and an equal number of factories that don't even make an *effort* to limit pollution.
