Years ago, I worked with a nutty bunch of women. They loved to talk about their therapy sessions; in fact they were seeing the same shrink. He had them all on Prozac.
Not long after, the doctor committed suicide.
I’m not sure about suicides, but as I understand it, the profession does have a high divorce rate. Like I’m one to talk... LMAO
It’s probably wrong that this made me laugh. Isn’t it?

Instead of cursing darkness how about lighting candles, if you are so sure of what’s right. Otherwise just stand down, you are not improving the information quotient here any.

The patient without meds
The patient with inappropriate meds
The doctor who quizes the patient (8-15 minutes for an annual physical)
The government form that the doctor submits to the government with just a checkmark
The Government who interprets who is crazey and who is not !

Well, we know how it ended up, whether it started this way or not.
I could have used someone to talk to this year, and I was unable to do so because one of the first things they ask you, is if you own weapons. I know because I went in. Then I couldn’t go back.
I had every reason to do what a reasonable man would do when he needs a little help. And yet, if I would have played along, I ultimately could have been harmed/injured by a well meaning idiot.

The police can’t pick up illegals, supposedly because they won’t trust them when they’re victims of crimes.
Boy let one citizen need some help, and they don’t have a problem at all asking personal questions related to crime prevention. What a blatant double standard.

Well, we have two sons, both raised the same way and one is an AF Pilot, the other "was" going to join the Navy until he had a psychotic break and developed Schizoaffective disorder. They now know that there are definite genetic components to these illness, but that, unlike some illnesses like Huntington's, the genetics alone are not the whole story. Lots of debate (and thankfully study) on what the other factors might be. Some think it could even be viral while still in the womb, others feel it could be head trauma that "triggers" someone pre-dispoded genetically. Our son, had two instances in younger years where he suffered pretty nasty head injuries and we have long suspected that might have been his "trigger."
Thankfully, he is doing very well now with the right medication and therapy. In fact he is in Civil Air Patrol and just got promoted to Senior Member First Lt. Probably not a big deal for most folks, but a huge deal for him!

Almost at the same time researchers announced they'd found an enzyme that the body produces that keeps the brain clean and tidy ~ until somewhere between 17 and 29, and then it shuts down. That's the onset age for much of the problems.
We have a neighbor lady who just wrapped up her MD and will be going for a doctorate in neurology. She said the people at school and the hospital where she is doing her internship were LEAPING FOR JOY at both pieces of news since this means we might actually see some research with results of benefit to the victims ~ not just their keepers and guardians.
She's thinking this could be a lifetime career for her.
My youngest is 25 and is a pretty well adjusted young man. He had seen another kid throw a fit on his mother when he was just older than two. So he tried it with me . . . twice. He had barely hit the floor in his tantrum when I scooped him up wearing his little britches out. He quickly learned that it was not a profitable tactic. And the whole family was better off for the lesson, including him.
If hoarding is a sickness, then the DHS is a very sick organization.
I think so. Hoarding meds, if they buy aspirin in big bottles at Sam’s Club. I think the definition of hoarding food will be a 5 day supply.
Rand Paul was alluding to something like that in his filabuster.
