Florida Student, 18, Arrested for Sex with Teammate, 14 [Parents DEFEND Predator]
NY TIMES ^ | 5/21/13 | CARLOS HARRISON

Kaitlyn Hunt’s parents insist that their daughter, a Central Florida high school senior, is being prosecuted for sex crimes only because her lover was another girl. The state attorney says that gender makes no difference; the age of the two girls is at the crux of the case.

Ms. Hunt, 18, is an adult. The girl with whom she allegedly had sexual encounters is 14...

Just before Christmas, they had a sexual encounter in a bathroom at Sebastian River High School. They had at least one more encounter there, according to the affidavit, and one in Ms. Hunt’s bedroom in January after the 14-year-old, a freshman, ran away from home.

The younger girl’s parents went to the police after learning from a coach, school employees and students that their daughter was having a relationship, according to a report from the Indian River County Sheriff’s office. The parents’ information led to the investigation.

"The fact is, BOTH girls are gay."

My theory is that the way most gays become gays is that they are introduced to it at a young age. The intense physical pleasure that was designed to reinforce a marriage then becomes associated with the same sex and voila a new gay person.

We don't know if that senior was the 14 year olds first or not. If she was, then she is responsible for probably permanently warping the 14 year old.

OK thanks everybody for explaining what the media are up to with this story....

perhaps a very prominent WashDC politician will soon “weigh in” and share his “transformational thoughts” on why lowering the age of consent is such a good idea?

(It seems to me that the age could be lowered a bit in light of how fast young folks grow up nowadays? I really don’t know what to say on this one! Perhaps others here will share more informed viewpoints than what little I can say about this subject...)

You need to go no further than NAMBLA's motto: "Get 'em before eight, or it's too late!"

I do not know which country you live in, but from your words you can not live in the United States of America unless you just lied.

Young people do not grow up very fast here.
In fact, many are not yet self supporting at forty.

Being ready for sex means being ready to support a child.

Unless you are of the vast ilk who think that it is the government’s job to support the child...in which case you are on the wrong site.

What about the ones that weren’t introduced to it?

Perhaps it was meant in the biological way?

Was it really necessary to call him a liar?

"What about the ones that weren’t introduced to it?"

I guess logic dictates that there was at least one guy who started it. They have nobody to blame but themselves. In either case they shouldn't be allowed to prey on minors.

In this case, I seriously doubt the 14 year old approached the 18 year old. The older girl almost certainly initiated this relationship and that makes her a predator.

I have no idea whose idea it was to start dating each other.

Absolutely.

Thinking is fundamental, and we were addressing a legal issue and whether or not it was moral. Not biology. It becomes biologically possible as young as age eight much of the time.

So if biology were to be addressed then we should be talking age eight and welcome to the United States of Islam

Why didn’t you at least ask before calling him a liar?

So your point is that a fourteen year old is mature enough to have sexual relations then?

Other than the salacious aspect (she is, admittedly, definitely not the stereotypical bull-dyke look -- I'm sure Laz would hit it), it helps them with the "lesbian = good" narrative they've been pushing for the past 30 years.

Unfortunately, she's mentally ill. She's definitely got the "crazy" eyes. What do you want to bet she was preyed upon as a child--probably by a man.

Not at all. It was why you felt you needed to call that person a liar.

That’s BullCarp. Up until the 60’s it was very rare for teens to have sex out of wedlock

Maybe you. Teens have been having sex since caveman days.

If age fourteen is not mature enough to have sex then that person is a liar.

Why are YOU squeamish about affirming that age of consent laws are appropriate?

What is it about you that is loathe to see age of consent laws defended? You are on this thread demanding that others justify defending age of consent laws.

You do not get to have it both ways.

If they are appropriate then no further reason is needed to defend them, now is there?

To: MrEdd

So why did you call that person a liar before asking him about it?

Why are you pretending that you could demand I ask an irrelevant question unless you are defending age fourteen as being an appropriate age to have sex?

You can not do only one of those.

I really don’t have anything to say to someone that calls others liars on an anonymous web forum
