Universal has been checking each bag and each purse at the end of the moving sidewalks since 911. Nobody gets past this without the check first. I also noticed security not checking bags seem to be profiling like the Israelis do. Whenever in Orlando, I like to go to Margaritaville for dinner. Some neat stuff technically in the park and friends of mine have programmed some of the attractions, but been in the two parks once now that is crossed off the list. OK once, but more than once is too much.
The location of the shooting is an apartment complex almost right next door. Maybe chose the location because of all the international travelers so it would be easy to mix with the tourists.
This suspect would fit right in with the MetroWest community, not a surprise.
The condo development this guy was killed inside of is the same one that large numbers of Universal hourly employees rent in, in cramped conditions, to save money. It’s old for Central FL, built in early to mid 1970’s.
