Actions have consequences. In this case, the Boy Scout organizations decision to even debate acceptance of open homosexuality has provoked Southeast Christian Church, a church of 30,000, to pull its charter of Troop 212.
Southeast Christian Church did not pull its sponsorship and involvement over the recent vote by the Boy Scouts to allow openly homosexual youth to participate. The Church pulled its sponsorship over the Boy Scouts organizations act of debating the idea of allowing open homosexuality. This is confirmed by the fact the Church actually notified the Boy Scouts earlier in the year before the vote took place.

Our boys went through the Brigade program, starting out as Treeclimbers, and really enjoyed it. They loved the weekend campouts with Daddy-even when it was only 40 degrees.
My husband was a “Ranger” (I think that is what the leaders were called), so it was a great father-son activity. They did a lot of similar things to scouting and earned patches and badges, but JESUS was the center of the organization.
There is a Christian “Girl Scout” program called American Heritage Girls (http://www.ahgonline.org/) that could be a model for an American Heritage Boys program that would keep essentially, all the worthwhile Boy Scout traditions and junk the PC/homosexual crap.
I hope/pray/think to see a group like that come into being.
But Disney would no doubt block that...given Disney's track record.
The Columbian Squires already have a structure in place, and with some modifications, could serve as an alternative.

Our synod http://www.wels.net/ has had it’s own Boy Pioneers (and Girl Pioneers) for a very long time.
I believe children of members of Woodmen of the World, a fraternal organization, are known as Woodchucks.
They should go further. The Pope should threaten to excommunicate any Catholic associated with the BSA.
Bookmarked for future reference.
It is a confusing story.
6/15/1916 - Congress granted an honorific Congressional Charter to the BSA. Congress issued these charters from 1791 1992 under Title 36 of the United States Code which outlined the role of Patriotic Societies and Observances in the United States Code.
Subtitle II - Patriotic and National Organizations - Part B Organizations - Chapter 309 -- Boy Scouts of America The purpose of the BSA is to promote, through organization, and cooperation with other agencies, the ability of boys to do things for themselves and others, to train them in scoutcraft, and to teach them patriotism, courage, self-reliance, and kindred virtues, using the methods that were in common use by boy scouts on June 15, 1916.
The charter, which superseded the previous incorporation of the BSA in 1910, entitled the organization to "make and adopt by-laws, rules, and regulations not inconsistent with the laws of the United States of America, or any State thereof."
The charter gave a monopoly to BSA on the use of the name "Scouts," and on insignia and phrases used in scouting. Since 1916, the BSA has used this federal monopoly to aggressively protect its brand. In 1917 it sued the United States Boy Scouts, previously known as American Boy Scouts (founded by newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst), and that organization disappeared the next year. Several other versions of scouting were absorbed into BSA on a friendly basis. By 1930, Chief Scout Executive James West (who was an attorney) claimed to have stopped 435 groups from the unauthorized use of Scouting; this both the use as part of an organizational name and in the use of commercial products. When the Girl Guides of America started in 1912, West discouraged the program. West had earlier worked with Luther Gulick when the Camp Fire Girls were established and always considered them to be the sister program of the BSA. When the Girl Scouts refused to give up their name in 1918, West appealed to Baden-Powell with no results. The charter has effectively been made into a decree: outside of the GS-USA, which received a similar congressional charter in 1950, only 1 form of Scouting can exist in the U.S. the BSA.
And therein lies a conundrum because the Baden-Powell Scout Association was established in the U.S. in June 2002. The BPSA became a registered corporation in the U.S. and was issued federal non-profit organization status, operating the 1st Tarrant Scout Group in TX. As others have pointed out, the BPSA does not discriminate membership based upon sexual orientation.
The charter mandated BSA file an annual report with the U.S. Congress by April 1 on its expenditures and activities. The report has since become known as the Report to the Nation. These reports are public record and are available as House documents, filed by the number of the Congress in session.
Amid dissatisfaction with the system, the subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee decided to discontinue issuing charters in 1992.
You might consider Royal Rangers of Assemblies of God. Our daughter did the girl’s program and I was very impressed. You don’t have to be a church member either, we weren’t.
Many years of slow infiltration did the job. They already took over the Girl Scouts some time ago.
What civilized organization won’t pull support for homosexuals setting the stage for the rape of young boys.
My dad was a high ranking district officer in the Royal Rangers and I can honestly say that I think that would be a tough strategy to take against the RR, who have been around since 1948 I believe...not that there are no similarities with Scouting, but that they would have to go to court and prove why the similarities that have been around for 65 plus years are now reason for a lawsuit...I just don’t think “cause we made an internal decision that caused half our sponsors to quit would fly.
BUT my question is if there is anyway that such Christian organizations could put aside their differences to form a national coalition to match the size of the scouts. RR is an Assemblies of God ministry, Awana I believe is Baptist, and not sure about the others. The problem would be if they could decide on a simplified common doctrine for joint functions. They wouldn’t need to form one massive all encompassing organization for all things, just an alliance to give national weight to be able to compete with the scouting brand.
Mark my words; coming down the pike will be the decriminalization of homosexual abuse of young boys. This is just as we saw in Ancient Rome when queers were allowed to buy, sell, and trade little boys. See Elton John and the two little boys he and his queer friend were allowed to buy and “adopt.”
Sure, those ga....uhhhh, guys do not surprise me...
Glad to hear you had a positive experience. Thanks for the info.
“Not to worryNAMBLA can pick up sponsorship of these scouts.”
We laugh about it now, but anybody want to bet how long it will be before something like that happens?
It's going to get turned into something that inspires a chuckle and a smirk, sort of like "Clinton and Lewinsky".
Maybe they can get rid of the Eagle Scout rank, and replace it with the Chicken Hawk rank...
chickenhawk : Older male who seeks the company or favours of an younger male. The term has homosexual overtones.
Why stop there....(noting the Geico commercials where woman are wooing and dating pigs and green lizards) - Bestiality acceptance is in the on-deck circle.
