Putin may not be Christian but he knows that Russia is the historic protector of orthodoxy in the Moslem lands. Also he knows that Shia fanatics are a lesser evil to Sunni fanatics. We should also realise that and stop supporting Saudi Arabia in its aim to recreate the Sunni caliphate
I agree with you to an extent on the first point and wholeheartedly on the second............we should have nothing to do with Saudia Arabia and the sooner something is done on oil dependence it will be the best thing for the entire world.
