Bobby Rush should have just responded to Kirk with the quip made (in)famous by Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert last night: “I’m no homo.”
BTW, Bobby Rush will go down in history as the only man ever to defeat Barack Obama in a federal or state election, roundly trouncing him in the 2000 Democrat congressional primary. And Obama will go down in history as the only president whose only electoral defeat came against a former Black Panther.

Burris famously called his rat primary opponents in the 1998 gubernatorial race “unqualified White boys”. And it hurt him.

Speaking of all the athletes being shamed and fined for “anti-gay slurs” I’m inclined to stop being polite and referring to them as “gays” and just call them queers and faggots (or LeBrons, let’s call them LeBrons).
If saying “no homo” which is a humorous interjection made after saying something that could falsely imply homoeroticism is now a “slur” that gets you 75K fine in the NBA then it’s time to start fighting back.

Rush issued a more temperate statement, expressing his sincere regret that Kirk's "current plan does not include the option to create jobs, provide affordable and safe housing, quality health care and improve schools in urban areas."
IOW, more and more federal money for Democrats in Chicago, 95% of which will be used to line Dem pols' pockets.
