I've pondered the idea that the entire swing to the left in this country, from culture to academia and beyond, could be attributed to the baby boom, and that the country may return to its roots once the boomers (of which I am one) die off.

There are a lot of great young people in this society, they just don't get on the news.

Well stated. I remember the peaceniks / disgraceful treatment of vets by the
enlightened of our generation. They have aged, and still don’t get it.
