-A high-tech computer system that captures images of every mail piece that is processed by the United State Postal Service was critical in helping federal agents identify the Texas woman arrested today for allegedly sending ricin-tainted letters to President Barack Obama and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
In a U.S. District Court complaint filed today against Shannon Guess Richardson, an FBI agent details how investigators tracked back the ricin letters to New Boston, Texas, where the 35-year-old Richardson (seen below) lives with her husband

always nice to know that one’s mail is tracked too
And I’m sure it’s more than simply a photo of the front and back of the envelope.
I actually don’t think that there is any method of communication in the US that isn’t tracked by the government
Just out of curiosity, how easy is it to obtain Ricin? I’m guessing you don’t order it from Amazon.com. Also, is there anyone on the entire planet who thinks the president ever sees his mail? Or, Bloomberg, for that matter.
I think those stick on barcodes have something to do with it
Semaphore in a coal mine is still probably safe.
No this is drama smoke and mirrors. the

and how do so many pieces of mail end up missing if everyone can be tracked like that??
Bad postmem?
More datapoints for the giant database.
This is the first year that returned invitations (wrong addresses) to our county’s National Day of Prayer Breakfast were cut open.
The prison Dykes are going to love her.
Levin just talked about this. .unreal.
And David Petraeus visits Bildeberg this week to talk about DATA collection ..mining etc.
God help us all.
I haven't looked up the process because I don't want to worry about black helicopters, black SUVs with tinted windows, and Verizon slowing down my internet even more than they already do by routing it through the FBI.
There are a number of WMD-type chemicals that date back to the 19th Century and making them would be within the capabilities of anyone who passed a college organic chemistry class. Fortunately, most normal people who spent time and made the effort to study organic chemistry textbooks instead of the Quran have jobs, lives and wouldn't ever dream of doing something like that.
In order to do what this woman apparently wanted to do -- she was in the process of divorcing her husband, who she informed the FBI about -- she wouldn't need a lot of ricin. Just enough of a trace of the chemical to set off whatever security system they might use.
You get ricin from castor bean seeds. It’s easy to purify but you don’t really have to, the seeds are very poisonous in the raw form. Castor bean plants are legal to grow. They are very tropical looking, have huge leaves, and I have grown some over 15 feet tall.
Hell no, she’s not guilty! And the prosecutor should be taken out and covered with tar and feathers.
