I choose to stay and take a stand, lead a morally straight troop as long as I can with the support of like minded parents, and not pack my tent and surrender all the Scouts have built and stand for, to a few radicals and an out of touch paid leadership of agenda driven professional fundraising pandering idiots
We are the parents and we are volunteers who lead the troops, the paid staff needs us, we don’t need them
Mr Feeley starts a troop with his husband, my kid not in that troop. Harry Horndog or Sally Slut joins the troop and hits on another kid and they are out for misbehavior

You think your kids’ sports clubs, school clubs, and church youth ministries are pure? Look harder, you face the same risks and you have to make the same choices
someone’s got to take a stand soon or you will all run out of places.

My Troop was chartered at a Baptist church and was run by fathers who were WWII and Korean war veterans.
When those Dad’s taught their sons to camp and work together in January when the temps were sub-zero, it was to build the character required to survive in those conditions — not so their sons and their country could be Sodomized by a bunch of Kolobian Rainbow Quisling Faggots.

Some troops limit themselves to who fits in the leader’s car for traveling
Age 14+ there are Venture Scouts, Sea Scouts, etc
or Lone Scouts
BSA might be for every boy but that doesn’t mean every troop is for every boy
You're not taking a stand if you stay. You're just telling the radicals and agenda driven professional fundraising pandering idiots that what they did is ok.

That is why, as a former scout myself, I say either the Boy Scouts reverses this bone-headed screwup, immediately.
Or an organization is found to replace the Boy Scouts.
It is that simple.

Every troop that continues to adorn itself with the BSA’s paraphernalia is advertising an endorsement of the organization and its new progressivism.
Ever play capture the flag? It is the BSA’s organizational symbolism that has been hijacked for a perverse cause.

I would recommend everyone look at, and consider becoming a part of the following:
ON MY HONOR.NET - BSA Leaders, Scoutmasters, Eagle Scouts, and supporters seeking to form an alternative to the Boy Scouts of America due to their recent decision
It would make more sense for some families just to get together and provide those scouting opportunies for their sons, and also use that as a great bonding opportunity between children, parents, and other loved ones. JMHO
Every family needs to make its own choice. Ours was to leave scouting.

I will not be associated with an organization that promotes homosexuality as normal.
This is not the last change. Adult homosexuals will be next. There will be changes to merit badges, most specifically the Family Life badge, which is Eagle required and centered around the old definition of the nuclear family. The homosexual activists will not let that stand. They will demand it change to include the ‘new normal’ of homosexuality and families. BSA will be teaching every Eagle that homosexuality is normal.

_____ 1. Complete the Values Clarification Exercise before you complete the rest of this merit
badge. Your merit badge counselor, den leader, scout leader, or parent should administer the
Scouting for All values clarification excercise.
_____ 2. Look up the words inclusiveness and diversity in the dictionary. Write a paragraph
on how they relate to the Scout Law points of helpful, friendly, courteous and kind.
_____ 3. Look up the dictionary definitions for prejudice, stereotype, and discrimination.
Write a paragraph on how these concepts relate to inclusiveness and diversity.
_____ 4. Do TWO of the following and follow up with a question and answer session:
A. Invite a speaker from PFLAG (Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) to speak at
your troop or den meeting. Ask them to speak about what it means to be gay
(homosexual). Ask them to explain the following:
1. What a hate crime is.
2. How prejudice and discrimination affect gay people individually and the
community as a whole.
3. Ask them if gays have family values and if they can be parents.
4. Ask them how they feel about gay people not being allowed in the Boy Scouts of
America.
B. Invite a group of speakers from an atheist group such as American Atheists. You can
look these up on the Internet or in your phone book. Ask them the following:
1. What it means to be an atheist in American society.
2. If they have the same rights as believers.
3. If they feel included or excluded in American society.
4. How they feel about not being allowed in the Boy Scouts of America.
C. With your parents permission, attend a PFLAG or GSA (Gay / Straight Alliance), an
American Atheist meeting, or a similar type of meeting. You can find a local chapter on
the Internet or in your phone book.
____ 5. Write a short essay on what you learned from the speaker or speakers and/or attending
one of the meetings.
____ 6. Explain to your scout leader, den leader, or parent why you believe your troop or den
should or should not be open to diversity.
____ 7. Ask your scout leader, den leader, or parent to give you the values clarification excercise
again.
____ 8. With your scout leader, den leader, merit badge counselor, or parent, compare the
answers of the firs values clarification exercise you completed with the second one you
competed. Discuss if your values or beliefs changed or did not change and why.

As much as I applaud your choice I'd wait until my sons had achieved Eagle rank if they desire to get it. There is always hope that the BSA will see the error of its way and return to the light. That 18th birthday only comes once and after that it's too late.

Yes that would be correct. I am not directly associated with any of those organizations. The church our family attends does not endorse homosexuality, and I avoid business that are actively promoting it.
If you want to be associated with it that is your choice, others choose differently.
Just because society and other groups endorse a behavior a find deplorable, I WILL NOT.
Then if this IS TRUE...WHY would any conservative, parent with integrity ALLOW their child to be a part of that organization, especially VOLUNTARILY !!!!
I say the church needs to step up to the plate! ORGANIZE A NEW SCOUT GROUP... There is currently AMERICAN GIRL CLUBS that are great for the girls!!
There are a certain number of parents purposely raising their children to be confused about their sexuality. More than a couple stories have surfaced recently where 5 or 7 year old boys—dressed like, and wanted to be identified as little girls...with their parents aquiessence (and encouragement).
You can bet that “progressive” types will now purposely put their purposely sexually confused kids into the BSA, just to test the water....AND the push will be all the more relentless for “justice” for scoutmasters who love sodomy...
BSA will no longer be percieved as a safe place for boys—and parents and churches simply won’t go along with it—and the volunteers which make the organization possible will dry up. Regardless of the real numbers of “gay” 13 year olds...this IS a big deal, as in this the vow to be “morally straight” has been expunged.
Truth is not the result of a popularity contest. IF there is a homosexual sex embracing mob -so what?
Just because some (even if it is a majority) that seek orientation justice, the supposed noble ends sought by the promoters of homosexual sex, are willing to support an evil means (sacrificing the innocence of other peoples children) to achieve this utopia does not mean all have to drink the koolaid like you do.
If this promotion of homosexual sex normalcy is allowed to continue in the BSA THEN the BSA is done -stick a fork in it.
