They need a 67-vote majority in the Senate to convict. I don’t see us getting up to 67 in 2014.
1913 was a really bad year. The 16th and 17th Amendments were ratified, in addition to the creation of the Fed.

The USA is hemorrhaging money at a rate of 4 Billion a day and this peanut head gets mad over a paltry few million. Fake outrage. I think the IRS’s New Carrollton Federal Building is in his district...
I would not be too quick to rule out impeachment. If the GOP can take back the senate next year there is nothing to stop it.

I’m sorry, but I cannot share your optimism about any of this.
1) The Rats will continue to follow the party line. You might hear one or two say something when they are up for re-election.
2) Republicans will never again have political power in my lifetime because the Rats’ voter fraud system is so perfectly crafted. I realized this on November 6, 2012, the night the Republic died. Quite literally cried myself to sleep.
3) If, by some miracle, the GOP gained a majority in the Senate, they would still back down the way they always do.

And even though it harmed the nation's children immeasurably, the papers printed every word of Ken Starr's sordid interrogations of Bill Clinton's sexual pecadilloes.
It's theater. If he deflects attention to such a comparatively minor matter, he can look like he is doing something forceful about the IRS; but his main objective is to sweep IRS persecution of opponents of the regime completely under the rug.
And, if we repeal the 17th, we must repeal the 16th and the Fed, so there won’t be so much government money with which to bribe state legislators.
Bingo.
Get rid of income tax. Period.
Impeach Obama, Biden, Holder, and Sebelius.
Repeal the 16th and 17th Amendments.
Abolish the IRS, the EPA, the TSA, and maybe even NSA. Then abolish at least 9 Cabinet departments.
That will be good for Week One.
