These personal data base things are over-rated. Anyone who worked in government in a 'confidential' position had a dossier. Folks with additional security clearances even underwent regular lie detector tests, and intense interrogations.

None of that stuff ever caught 90% of the government's spies and bad guys.

It's not likely they'll catch the ones who don't work for the government either.

Not that we shouldn't use modern technology to spy on foreigners ~ at home or abroad ~ but there's not as much gained from it, or can be gained from it, as most folks believe.

One decent short discussion at a bus stop can yield far more information ~

Folks with security clearances underwent VOLUNTARY interrogations and dossier building. I don’t recall having given permission for the state to keep my SIX year olds DNA forever. And you know they have dossiers on six year olds too. Look up the database to be kept as a part of Common Core.

If that stuff didn’t catch 90% of the government spies and bad guys and not likely they’ll catch ones that don’t work for the government, why do they need it?

Hmmm?

Perhaps because the stated ‘anti terrorist’ reason isn’t the REAL reason. Control of the population is the real reason. Political uses >>>> security uses with this kind of database. And the cool thing is you can hold people hostage to stuff their relatives have done. After all, do you really want your 19yr old to do hard time for the half kilo of weed he bought last weekend?

BTW, they’re taping bus conversations now too. To be stored indefinitely.
