Imagine the cops coming to your house, completely searching it from top to bottom and catalog everything...all your clothing, furnishings, papers, prescription drug bottles, food, appliances, scan all your hard drives on all your computers, look behind the walls, above the ceilings, go through the attic, and the whole 9 yards.

When you ask to see their search warrant, the lead detective tells you that he doesn’t have one. “But don’t worry, we’re just going to take this inventory and store it at the precinct. We won’t actually look at the inventory unless we have a search warrant.”

“You should be happy because this will save us a whole bunch of time and you a whole lot of inconvenience if we ever suspect you of a crime in the future.”

I can’t imagine anybody feeling comfortable with that.
But yet libtards are perfectly OK if the government does a cyber-version of this and store the data at a yottabyte-sized data warehouse in Utah.

Interestingly, most libtards are NOT perfectly OK with this.

Several times in the past week or so, I've snuck behind enemy lines into DU to eavesdrop, and just as on FR, there are a small number of jackboot lickers condemning Snowden, and the vast majority are incensed at the domestic spying, and very glad someone blew the whistle on it.

That's true. About five years ago, I began to take an interest in the activities of young, small, local, independent contractors in the broader local area (neighbors) while beginning to build some utilities on my own place. Quite a few of them looked like hippie freaks, but some of them were also into gardening and the like. They didn't talk to me about drugs or anything like that, because I'm such a clean cut, older redneck. But they were friendly and hard working.

They are much in favor of private property rights and didn't like some of the planning, zoning and building codes. They have a strong respect for the Second Amendment and have an interest in firearms and self-defense. They also respect the First and Fourth Amendments.

Other than that, they're lefties. Their utterances of greenie-isms were markedly different from those of nearby corporate government broadcasts (resorts, local governments)--more oriented to how energy savings or agriculture might be done on their own private properties rather than regulating against work. The same general sentiments can be found in other ethnic groups. Many forget that even more of their narrow-interest political persuasions are changing toward conservatism, as they age.

An "upscale," socially "progressive" (immoral), socialist political constituency with incomes derived directly and indirectly from government debt/revenues has been gathering at the top of each of the political parties for decades. The same class of people around me focus their attentions and gossip against private, legal and honorable work of their neighbors--especially younger neighbors, ranchers and the very few who actually do work on their private property in any way.

The "upscale" folks of the bipartisan left are lazy. They don't get out much on foot, although they scoot back and forth incessantly in their SUVs to sit in their offices or otherwise socialize against their neighbors. The one or two who build fences at all don't build good fences. They're noisy in meetings. They express their worship of animals and the earth while coveting against other human beings and conspiring to stop them from doing any work or even to officiously rob them. They demand local tax hikes and more regulations.

They're not as competent as they imagine themselves to be, and that includes their voracious social and political nature. They've been looking for trouble. They believe that they are in control of all that they see, but tomorrow will not be built on their fantasies. It will be built against those fantasies.
