For some reason, this reply of yours just appeared on my ping list. No problem...
With all this on the table, your main consideration is why I don't support Sarah Palin.
My main consideration is not why you don't support Palin. Palin, whether at Fox News or supporting Tea Party candidates isn't going to solve the immigration problem.
Try to consider this point objectively. I'm not trying to be insulting by saying that.
Please tell me what impact you think Palin would make on the immigration debate, if she started backing Rubio during her appearances on FoxNews now? Millions of Conservatives would suddenly come to the conclusion that if she could back this bill, it must be okay. Does that seem like something that you could term not impactful?
Who would be calling their representatives to object to this bill if Democrats weren't, and many Republicans followed Palin's play?
I find that to be a very impactful eventuality.
I'm well aware of the illegal problem and how it has increased. I want to know who you believe is capable of solving the problem, or at the very least taking the lead in securing the borders. Especially in light of the fact that the majority of Americans just don't seem to GAS.
This thread addresses the issue of Palin going back to FoxNews as a talking head. I have explained why I see that as problematic.
That is all that I am trying to address here.
Anyone who is against the registration, legalization, or amnesty of current illegal immigrants would be acceptable to me as a person who could advocate for sound policy on this matter.
Did you see this?
We've already got around 30,000,000. Who in your opinion is the perfect person to solve the ongoing and future problem?
Once again, this thread addresses a woman going back to FoxNews as a talking head. It is not a thread addressing who Conservatives think would be the right person to lead out against this immigration bill, or to lead sound immigration policy from here.
I am not prepared to make a firm comment on that at this time.

That’s okay. I did link one interview covering this matter up-thread.
Thanks NFHale.

“If thats the case, I understand your point. I just have not heard her say those things.”
No, you haven’t.
And neither have I.
And I’ve been listening and categorizing for four years.
See here:
http://hrh40.wordpress.com/palin-policy/
Look through there and you won’t find Palin saying anything remotely close to Doughty’s off-the-wall claims.

IMO, it would be an incredible boost to Palin to respectfully go rogue on McCain.
It really is alright to disagree with him. She doesn’t have to call him a stinking amnesty pimp and dem lite backstabbing turd, like I would. LOL

I agree with that.
Frankly I wish she would out him for exactly who he is. It would go a long way to repair some of the damage she did by endorsing him another six years, and in particular at this moment because we have to put up with his sorry ass for the next three and a half years.

The big question: To what degree will she be muzzled?
She will be muzzled on Amnesty. Everything else will be fair game.
To: Alaska Wolf
Sarah Palin on Amnesty:
Governor, let me ask you about immigration. How many undocumented immigrants are there in Alaska?
I don’t know, I don’t know. That’s a good question.
As governor, how do you deal with them? Do you think they all should be deported?
There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant -there are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants- not only economically is that just an impossibility but that’s not a humane way anyway to deal with the issue that we face with illegal immigration.
To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?
I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.

IMO, it would be an incredible boost to Palin to respectfully go rogue on McCain. I don't think she needs to mention Juan McLame at all, she simply needs to state her own opinion, in her own words, her own way.
Then step back and watch the firworks start. The worst thing one can do to their political enemy is to shred them and their position, making it clear to the entire world who they're talking about - without once naming them by name.

Interview was from 2008. And she still is against deportation of illegals. And she supports the RINO so-called “path to citizenship” for illegals.
She has been bought off by Murdoch so she will not criticize Boner’s upcoming Amnesty treachery that will continue to unfold until it passes and is signed into law before the summer recess.

It is hard to criticize other Republicans when you conveniently ignore the biggest crap weasel in the room.
Honest to God, that was 2008, if she disagrees with him on issues now, so what?
McCain’s fat little daughter sure doesn’t think she owes anything to Palin. geesh

Interview was from 2008. This is 2013. Do you support Arizona Governor Jan Brewer's plan like Palin does?
Are you a Christian? If so, how would you deal with immigration as a whole?
To: Alaska Wolf
Please read and listen to this interview. In it Palin explains what happens if the illegals do not comply with what is required of them. And by reasoned logic, it's clear what happens if they do comply with registration requirements.
I don't believe I have mischaracterised her position on this. A careful review will verify that.

O'REILLY: So you're president of the United States, Sarah Palin. You send how many National Guard to the border right away to secure it?
SARAH PALIN, FORMER GOVERNOR OF ALASKA: However many you need. This is a top priority. This is a national security issue.
O'REILLY: All right, but I'm talking Texas, California, New Mexico, all of them. So you'd send maybe 10,000, 15,000 National Guard down there to assist the Border Patrol, yes?
PALIN: Whatever it takes. Whatever it takes.
O'REILLY: All right, so you'd militarize the border. You'd finish the fence, finish building the fence from Brownsville to San Diego, yes?
PALIN: Yes.
O'REILLY: Now we have 12 million people staring at you. And you say to those people you're in here illegally; you broke civil law by coming in here. Now are you going to deport them? What are you going to do?
PALIN: Well, again, first, let me go back to the importance of securing the border. They're talking about amnesty
O'REILLY: No, but we got that, governor. Everybody
PALIN: No, we don't.
O'REILLY: Yes, the people watching this program have it. We have it. We assume that you, as president, would secure the border. I have confidence that you would do that. But now you have to look inward, all right? And you've got 12 million people staring at you. What are you going to have them do?
PALIN: You're not going to give them a free pass. You're not going to say, OK, you and anybody else who wants to scurry across this porous border between now and when we finally do finally get it fenced in and physically secure, we're going to give you a free pass.
O'REILLY: All right.
PALIN: And just because you've broken law in the past
O'REILLY: So no amnesty.
PALIN:
we can trust you. No, no amnesty.
O'REILLY: But what do you do with these folks?
PALIN: Which means
O'REILLY: Do you make them register with the federal government? Do you tell them they have 60 days to get out of here before we put you in jail? What do you do with them?
PALIN: Do we make them register with the federal government? Yes, we do.
O'REILLY: Yes, so we know who they are.
PALIN: We have -- exactly, yes. I want to answer to that question absolutely.
O'REILLY: All right.
PALIN: We're not going to give them a free pass.
O'REILLY: So you make them register with the federal government.
PALIN: We're not going to reward the bad behavior.
O'REILLY: And if they don't register with the -- say you gave them 60 days to register with the federal government. There's a form at the post office they have to send in like a Census form. All right, say they didn't do it.
PALIN: You deport them.
O'REILLY: OK.
PALIN: You have to get them out.
O'REILLY: So the ones that don't
PALIN: We don't reward their continued bad behavior.
O'REILLY:
after period of time. OK, after a period of time
PALIN: Yes.
O'REILLY:
the ones that don't cooperate, you catch them, they're gone.

Unless those other Republicans have been in (political) bed with the crap weasel. I wouldn’t give her trouble if she had only been his V.P. pick. It was when she backed him for return to Washington the wheels fell off for me.
Hey, I thought McCain was the biggest ass around when he let his campaign staff go after her. And as you mention, his daughter was disgusting as well.
Look, I’ll defend Palin when she deserves it.
