US President Barack Obama has said the road to a lasting peace in Northern Ireland is "as urgent now as it has ever been".
The president was addressing a gathering at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast, ahead of the G8 summit in County Fermanagh.
President Obama said there was "more to lose now" than before.

Obama should be impeached and removed even if we get Joe Biden. At least Biden is an American who can recite the pledge of allegiance with his hand over his heart and not his crotch.

It is absolutely amazing to me, the people or nations this guy decides to support. I don’t think there’s any other way to categorize this, other than to simply accept that he loathes Britain, and will side with anyone against it.
Look, I’m not saying Britain is perfect, or that Ireland doesn’t have some legitimate beefs with it. What I am saying is that these two entities need to work things out on their own, and the idea our president should jump in with both feet is preposterous.
