Have to disagree. Some women I have met are probably physically capable and mentally capable; they are just very rare, tough examples of the gender, not the standard.
Just remember the bosses in the Pentagon are political appointees; if not affirmative action, at the very least for outstanding political correctness.
I think if Obunghole wants this type of unit, it should be an all female unit.
Mixed units are NOT good for morale, unless they are “in the rear with the gear”.
I have never met or seen those women and have no reason to think that they are in the military and ready to apply for a slot to SEAL school.
I agree with you they don’t belong in combat units with men anymore than openly gay guys do. Its just a bad idea. Sadly there are a lot of bad ideas being put into high gear with this fundamental transformation of America.
Sorry. I did this in combat in Vietnam as a Long Range Reconnaissance Platoon Leader in the mountains along the Laotian/Cambodian border. I don’t think that I could have done it if those mountains had been above 10,000 feet as they are in Afghanistan. Female bodies do not have the strength to carry the loads, and once you start running for your extraction point when your patrol gets compromised, they will fall by the wayside. Either they die or the rest of the patrol dies.
