As NewsBusters reported last week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called out vulgarian comedian Bill Maher for referring to her Down Syndrome son Trig as "retarded." This is the first amendment at work, freedom of speech. Why is it good for some and not others? Society has made it loathsome to be retarded. We all have something imperfect. Accept it. Talk about it with truth. Ya, so that’s what he is – retarded. He can’t do anything about it. The word police have conditioned us to feel shame for speaking truth because the truth may hurt someone’s feelings. I love Sarah Palin. I would campaign for her until the end of time. But she gives Bill Maher way too much power. He wants her attention and gets it every time he wants it. She should revel in the fact that Bill’s heart is full with her. He will say anything to make Sarah think about him even in a despicable way. Bill doesn’t hurt Trig with this talk. Sarah shouldn’t allow him to hurt her.
This celebrity slut has made a living unbelievably in the “spoken word” industry . . . she, having a hell of a speech defect, trots around like some kind of queen. I can’t stand looking at her or being made to listen to her.
