Maybe because he has actually leaked information that is sensitive to your government and your allies. The NSA stuff that he leaked is protecting American people from their overreaching government- he probably should have stuck to that.

I am unsure that “traitor” would stick but some of the stuff leaked has been sensitive enough have foreign governments up in arms - so along that line he is no better than Bradley Manning or Julian Assange.

Manning got people who worked with us killed. We know of no such leaks from Snowden. As for foreign governments up in arms, the salient question is whether they learned anything new that would cause our methods to be compromised.
