Agree with your points. TWA 800 fell out of the sky on 7/17/1996. The Summer Olympic games in Atlanta started on 7/19/1996. I recall some thought this timing may have contributed to the coverup. And of course, TWA merged with American Airlines 5 years later.
You also need to remember this was the same time Clinton operatives were making the claims of Black churches being burned and the ultra right wing extremist would throw Blacks back into slavery and deny them the vote if Dole was elected president.
The Chinese military was also caught a few months later smuggling in full auto weapons for the gangs of LA.
