A flat tax would clear out 75% of the IRS. Drop withholdings, exemptions, "write-offs", credits and you could drop 90% to 95%.

A flat tax would clear out 75% of the IRS. Except Congress won't be able to stop themselves from mucking it up over time ... little carve-out for this here, little exemption for this there. It will morph back into what we have, IMO. 25% IRS is still too much.
