Hard to make it graduated? Of course not. People with more money to spend will spend it, and the tax

will self-adjust to tax the wealthier, not at a higher rate, but at a higher dollar amount.

Poor person spends $50 on clothing and household items and pays $10 in taxes at 20%.

Rich person spends $1500 for a huge soiree for his wife’s birthday and pays $300 in taxes at 20%.

If we limit the size and scope of government, there is no way that they will need that kind of revenue.

But we can’t fix everything at once, I guess.

The Progressives will not be satisfied unless they can charge the rich a higher rate.

Come to think of it, that may be how they introduce us to the beast.

You will have to carry a buying permit based on your income or wealth, in order to identify your tax rate.
