"Only Paul and Cruz are true Conservatives... it’s pathetic !!"

Paul is a big-L Libertarian like his daddy. But you're quite right. Cruz and Mike Lee are clearly the best we have.

Another great poll from Rasmussen? 58%? More like 42% if he is lucky.

I have zero faith in Rasmussen (worst pollster for 2012) but I hope this is true. Are we done with the failed Rubio experiment please?

He’s one of McCain’s minions now.

As Trent Lott said, all new senators must be co-opted. It seems only Lee Paul and Cruz have the strength to igore the leadership.

I may not have seen the thread you mentioned. No information.

Heard or read this A.M. that the plan is not exactly to kill this bill in the House but rather to act like the Senate, by strategically passing one piece of legislation incrementally and not the entire bill, and therefore not take the blame if legislation fails in the House. The strategy is that both parties take the blame equally upon failure of legislation to be agreed upon via piecemeal. I maybe am all wet though. If this strategy was employed it would slow this legislation down and force a large number of people onto the record with their votes. Could work if done properly to expose many in D.C. to the voters. Then again, am losing faith in anything that comes across the airwaves and print. There are many ruses being run.

Republican Congressman Trey Gowdy is the best.

awesome video Republican Congressman Trey Gowdy said abolish IRS at hearing. must see video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Y5dmf5xZJu0

That is the best thing I've ever seen a politician say.

But the media and Obama let out a thousand other scandals (Snowden etc.) to hide the IRS scandal . what happened to the IRS hearings?

Why are the republicans so stupid? Does anyone remember the real reason Bush’s popularity tanked in the mid 2000s? It was specifically because of this issue! The liberals always hated him, but Bush lost conservatives in 2006 and that has resulted in conservative voter apathy ever since. They GOP seem to think they can continue to take conservative voters for granted even though it is obvious they haven’t been able to since 2006. The only respite was winning the house in 2010 and that’s only because of Obamacare.

Interesting....would certainly slow it down as well....the dang thing is 24 pounds of nonsense! Piece-mealing it could take YEARS! Unfortunately none of it prevents the invasion going on.

What a fool. He absolutely screwed the pooch and doesn't know yet. I hope he's a one termer at best.

Can you say, "(Jeb)Bush/Rubio in 2016"? I would bet he's made a deal with Bush.

Rubio miscalculated. He thought that supporting the immigration bill would gain him a political advantage by placating the Hispanics. But it backfired by even more conservatives turning against him.

15 minutes on Freerepublic would have clued him in. The Democrats can embrace NAMBLA before these RINOs can even query the opinion of conservatives.

They are probably planning a bait and switch like usual.

Senate Bill #1 - We are going to beat you five times a day forever.

Oh no. That’s horrible.

House Bill #2 - We are only going to beat you once a day for ever.

Oh that’s a relief.

All illegal immigration bills should collapse right NOW.

So many fools constantly playing their games and making excuses for those who stab them in the back.

First of all, he should know Mexicans don’t care for Cubans, especially the European-looking Cubans....they call them “Jewbans.”

Love Gowdy. Unfortunately, I restricted my comments to the Senate which I thought was the point of the poster to whom I replied.

I’d love to see Gowdy primary Lindsey Grahamnesty, but it’ll never happen.

If I were living in Florida would I vote for a left-wing Demonrat before Rubio? Absolutely not. Cutting off nose to spite face is not a good long-term strategy.
