Today can only be characterized as an utter debacle for the prosecution in Florida v. Zimmerman. Besides the testimony of a couple of highly professional law enforcement witnesses, the testimony of the the other State witnesses ranged from signing George Zimmerman’s praises, to acknowledging the utility of following a suspicious person from a distance, to being utterly discredited by razor sharp cross-examination of the defense.

The next, shall we say, interesting witness called by the State, and the last witness of the day, was Selene Bahadoor. She was one of the residents of Twin Lakes whose townhouse bordered on the scene of the altercation between Zimmerman and Martin, and who took note of the event as it happened. As such, she was really the first substantive witness to date who would, purportedly, be able to share some direct knowledge of the events as they unfolded.
O’Mara handled the cross-examination of Bahadoor, and it was very quickly apparent that this person who had promised to be the State’s star witness of the day–and perhaps of the entire trial–was about to be have her testimony and credibility utterly, indeed humiliatingly, crushed before the jury.
O’Mara then asked if it would be fair to say that Bahadoor had sympathy for the Martin family. “I have sympathy for both families,” she answered, somewhat aloof.
“But,” noted O’Mara, “you “liked” the Facebook page for the Martin family, but not the Facebook page for the Zimmerman family.”

Based on what I have read and saw on the 2nd day of the trial, the governemnt prosecution is losing big.
ME TOO YOU CAN barely watch it....the only good that can come from this is if both zimmy and his lawyer write books after his aquittal and make some big money to compensate george..for this nightmare...

Yes....Fox News refused to report OMara absolutely destroying on cross the first state eye witness. Pretty Boy Phil Keating and Looking For Boys Shlep Smith refused to report this dismantling of the states witness
After what happened to Backadoor today....I think DeeDee Jeantel caught the first plane to Port Au Prince.
They could not find her for hours when she was to do her first deposition...they may not find her for her trial testimony
It’s like FOX and NBC and ABC have never been in a courtroom before.
They think that the direct examination by an arm-flapping prosecutor leading the witnesses word for word through their testimony so they don’t say anything off cue is all there is to the witness testimony.
They conveniently forget all about the cross examination when all the lies, prefabrications, witness tampering, perjury, obfuscations, forgetfulness, and prosecutorial misconduct is exposed.
The defense attorneys have very calm, soothing voices, and are being very successful making their points in non-confrontational ways. The one prosecutor has a VERY irritating voice and demeanor.

I noticed one of the lawyers brings his hands together and rubs his fingertips back and forth against each other. He does this when he doesn’t know what to ask next because the witness isn’t giving the answers that were expected.
