Today, June 26th, is DAY #13 (of 3rd week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case. An explosive second day of deconstructed witness testimony took place yesterday. Which leads to the “big question”:
Will witness #8, Rachel Jeantel, be called to the stand today?
[Yesterday could] … only be characterized as an utter debacle for the prosecution in Florida v. Zimmerman. Besides the testimony of a couple of highly professional law enforcement witnesses, the testimony of the the other State witnesses ranged from signing George Zimmerman’s praises, to acknowledging the utility of following a suspicious person from a distance, to being utterly discredited by razor sharp cross-examination of the defense.
Before we even get to the disaster that was the State’s witnesses, however, we first have to discuss this morning’s hearing and the extent to which it evanescent is the State’s case against George Zimmerman. State: Zimmerman Is So Good, He Must Be Bad ............

The defense might not get a gotcha moment with “dee dee” because she’s too street smart to let that happen, but Im telling you the fact Martin was the angry one because he was being watched and followed to the extent he was calling Z cracka and nigga and a rapist, the fact she said Martin told her he was right outside his dad’s fiances apt yet was found dead over a football field away toward Z’s truck, lets me know Martin was the hostile one, the one who was ready to attack. And by the area they found his body he did go back to confront the creep ass cracka nigga rapist.
They can't react until they get a printed transcript.

She did the interview sitting in a closet?! ‘you think I wanna be in closet that long?’ OMG, this is hysterical!

We’ll just have to agree to disagree. Getting a witness to fess up to several lies is something worth celebrating.
I bet there is alot of silent bewilderment just how stupid, selfish, and downright ugly (in and out) of this person. She is a proven liar and absolutely the WORST witness I have ever encountered. This is real cruel towards her honestly, and shows the depravity of the State bringing charges against Z on such baseless eye/earwitness testimony of her ilk.

Yes. I would think it will be brought up later (closing arguments?) that she probably lied about TM saying that GZ was following him.
Yep. West is taking his sweet time getting to the heart of the matter. Strategy probably involved, but running risk of running so long that she will be brought back refreshed tomorrow morning to finish.

Any grand plan the defense interrogator has for this witness is undoubtedly long lost on the numbed jurors.

I don’t know about you, but between lying about her age, her cavalier attitude regarding his death and the cops et al, this girl is simply a joke.
I don't disagree. I just haven't seen West demonstrate that yet. I think he will get there. He is slowly building to it. That is probably what the bench conference is about. The prosecution is trying to slow things down.
