Today, June 26th, is DAY #13 (of 3rd week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case. An explosive second day of deconstructed witness testimony took place yesterday. Which leads to the “big question”:
Will witness #8, Rachel Jeantel, be called to the stand today?
[Yesterday could] … only be characterized as an utter debacle for the prosecution in Florida v. Zimmerman. Besides the testimony of a couple of highly professional law enforcement witnesses, the testimony of the the other State witnesses ranged from signing George Zimmerman’s praises, to acknowledging the utility of following a suspicious person from a distance, to being utterly discredited by razor sharp cross-examination of the defense.
Before we even get to the disaster that was the State’s witnesses, however, we first have to discuss this morning’s hearing and the extent to which it evanescent is the State’s case against George Zimmerman. State: Zimmerman Is So Good, He Must Be Bad ............

Is West keeping his cool?
She told WEST she wasn’t going to come back tomorrow.
West - it will take a couple of hours tomorrow....girlfriend...”What?”.......priceless.
They will have to drag her back to court tomorrow.
Keeps trying to explain contradiction in testimony that she rushed through Crump interview. Admits to West she didn't care to be accurate in that interview.
West now asking about the 911 call with screams in the background. Jeantel says she's heard it on TV and maybe at a deposition. She says it sounded like Trayvon.
West now showing Jeantel her deposition transcript.
West asks if she wants to stop and come back tomorrow. Jeantel says she's done today. West asks if she's refusing to come back tomorrow. Judge intervenes says we'll get to scheduling later.
West asks Jeantel about the 911 call. She says "it could be" several times. 'Trayvon got that soft baby voice sometimes.'
Jeantel burts out, "What?" when West says he needs at least a couple hours more tomorrow morning to continue cross of Jeantel. She's not happy.

West asks to break for the day, says 2 more hours of cross ahead. Jeantel: “What?????” (shakes her head in disgust)
The judge let her get away with it?

OMG! This is hilarious. I am sure earlier when Mr. Martin was acting like he was crying he was actually laughing.
Sounds almost like West is needling R *and* almost begging for the judge to step in and cause a mistrial or grounds for appeal...
Judge asks how long West needs to finish his cross after him asking for a recess till tomorrow. He says he can’t say but at least a couple of hours. DeDe says a loud “what?” Recess until 9:00 AM.
Court in recess. A sullen Jeantel doesn’t wait for the judge to finish her instructions for her before she turns and walks off the stand.

Love the attitude she threw at West and the Judge. I hope West heads out quickly so she can assault him in the hallway! That would seal it.

This was THE most entertaining day of the trial thus far. I’m hooked!
Can’t wait to see if Miss Obnoxious blows her stack during tomorrow’s two-hour interrogation!
