Ooops...the defense lawyer’s gotta cool it.Unless they’re given ample reason to do otherwise the jury *will* have sypmpathy for this witness and *will* be inclined to believe the truth and accuracy of *everything* she says as well as accept her basic motivations as being pure and legitimate.The defense has gotta make her look bad in a *very* subtle way.

I disagree. The will not sympathize with her if she is caught lying. In fact it will throw into question all that the prosecution does, especially since she is their star witness.
