Back in the 70s, the Chicago teachers union was on strike, a t.v. reporter was interviewing a picketer. He asked her, "what do you do at the school"?

I'll never forget her reply, she said and this is a direct, word for word quote, "I teaches English".

I knew then, that our inner city schools and school children, were doomed to be forever ignorant.

When watching interrogations on TV shows, and the suspect shouts, “I didn’t do nothin’!”, I’m thinking... why don’t they arrest the SOB since his double-negative just turned into a confession?
