Wrong
Didn’t you listen to the testimony of the dispatcher this week?

He specifically was asked if he told him to stay in the car. He replied no. In fact he did NOT have the authority to do that. The actual tape was played. It was pointed out the dispatcher told him twice to keep an eye on TM. The dispatcher even admitted that could easily be interpretated to do exactly what Z did

You obviously are prejudice against Hispanics

Or you would follow the testimony of the trial instead of making wild unsubstantiated lies

The Rodney King case was a close case. You had to give the cops a lot of the benefit of the doubt after they started beating him and kept beating him. The video looked bad, but if you watched it in its entirety, and believed the cops as to why they kept beating, and looked at it in slow motion, where Rodney kept trying to get up, you could see a jury not finding that there was guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

This case is one where there is innocence beyond a reasonable doubt. It should never have been brought in the first place, it is a case where the defendant is objectively innocent in a nation where objectivity no longer exists. The feds may try to go after Zimmerman after the state fails, but they will end up looking just as stupid as De la Rearenda.

“I take it from that comment that you haven’t watched the video yet. Watch it and then comment on it since it is the subject of this thread.”

I have watched the video. What GZ said is not what actually happened just because it is in a video. As far as TM standing in the grass. It could have been taking a leak by the power pole. As far as TM “looking around at all the houses”, I would be too. I would not just be staring at the ground. Even a jogger would have been looking around. GZ did not even know the name of the street he was on! How could he have known everyone who lived there or if the guy walking down the sidewalk should not have been there? GZ left out the comment about the A Holes and the operator saying it sounded like he was running when he got out of his car. Transcript of Operator shows he was told to stay in car. He got out of his car to look for a street sign? He had already said TM was walking around with his hand in his waist band, meaning he might have a weapon. Did he not have GPS on his phone? It was suspicions because he was walking in the rain? What alternative did he have? He had no car. I have walked in the rain, jogged in the rain, both on purpose and also when I was not out in a vehicle. In the tape GZ said TM had one hand on his nose and the other over his mouth. How could TM be banging his head on the sidewalk with his hands in that position? GZ said TM confronted him. What if what really happened was the other way around? TM is dead and cannot refute GZ. Do you think if GZ and jumped TM first, GZ would have said that in this video? It was dark, TM was on top of GZ. Where were GZ hands? Why wasn’t GZ hitting TM? IF it was going down like he said? Why did he grab on of TM hands? If it was going down like he said it was? And how could have TM seen GZ pistol if it was dark and he was on top of GZ? Why did GZ wait to use his right hand until his pistol was exposed? If it went down like he said it did? I would have already been beating TM in the ribs IF it was going down the way GZ said it was.
What if it rally went down this way?: GZ confronted TM with his pistol drawn wanting to know what he was doing there. In fear of his life, TM attacked GZ and was on top of him and then that was when GZ shot TM. We only have GZ account of what happened. And don not expect him to tell the truth. It does not matter how ugly or dumb or black TM;s girlfriend is. It does not matter if TM had a record. It does not matter if TM smoked weed on a regular basis. It only matters what happened that night.

IIRC, the Simi Valley jury was blamed for what happened...right before the famous riots. It's morbid of me, and I pray good people are not hurt, but a riot after an innocent verdict will be very instructive to the US population.

They will try him for violating TM’s civil rights in federal court. Different charge than murder.

Very true. And you can sure that Attorney Corporal Holder will take a *personal* interest in the case and will make sure that everything...*including* the kitchen sink...is thrown at GZ.Ten bucks says the charges lodged against him will have a combined possible sentence of 40 years or more. After all,his boss's "son" is the central character here.

Gives the government two bites of the apple.

IIRC this very issue has been through the courts...an obvious form of double jeopardy. It's just another indication of the contempt that Rats have for our Constitution.

I just listened to the tape again. The dispatcher advised him not to get out of his car. I heard nothing in the tape about keeping an eye on TM.

When you claim self defense, all one has to prove is that their life was in danger. How the fight got started is irrelevant to the issue of self defense. There was a fight and that is a fact. No one is disputing that. According to GZ at some point there was a struggle for the gun and he pulled the trigger. Since there was only one shot, and the forensics of the bullet, shell casings, and the gun indicate there was a struggle for the gun, the GZ claim of self defense is valid.

The profiling is a BS issue.
The following is a BS issue.
How the fight started is a BS issue.
The severity of GZ’s injuries is BS.

The forensics don’t lie.

That is irrelevant to the claim of self defense. Go to the site Legal Insurrection and do some research. The news media are journalists and not lawyers. Oh, they have lawyers on as experts but they are PAID to represent the news organization’s point of view and not the defendant. You’ve been duped.

Your comment is actually the point I was trying to make. Massad Ayoub, a professional witness in these kinds of cases, pointed out in an article I once read that if you see the whole tape, and analyze it carefully, they did just what you say - tried to keep him from getting up. They were afraid if he did that he might seriously injure them all with his bare hands (he was a big guy and they thought he was on PCP).

That, and he pointed out that they used their batons in the only way that they were taught by their department - as a club. In his analysis of it, in a certain sense, the LAPD failed their officers by not training them in more sophisticated means of using the baton.

They got screwed by the Feds for doing what they were trained to do. My point is that the government is, and is going to, prosecute GZ for political reasons, until they get the result they want. His life is ruined, no matter the outcome of this particular trial. Our whole Constitutional and criminal just system is supposed to prevent just this kind of miscarriage of justice, which is what is particularly enraging about this case.
