No worries. My original post was here. Looks like we do agree on this case being different than the King case.

In Rodney King, there was no self-defense claim, the beating was extended, several cops were standing around and watching the beating making it look like party, King claimed to have received racist taunts/comments, and it took the cops over 80 minutes to get to hospital with King claiming he was shown off like a trophy.

The key factor was that they were cops acting in the line of duty. If it had been an ordinary street brawl, there would have been no federal prosecution in the unlikely event of a state acquittal.

GZ was stupid for confronting someone he did not know.

You've got it backwards. TM confronted GZ. GZ did not confront TM.

Of course, you can argue that GZ was stupid to place himself in a position where such a confrontation was likely. And you'd be right. But that has no bearing on the case.

What IF TM had been carrying a gun and GZ was the one killed?

Interesting hypothetical. TM would probably get off on a claim of self-defense against an assault by a menacing stranger. The 911 audio would work in his favor. The prosecution would need strong evidence to rebut his self-defense claim beyond a reasonable doubt. E.g., witnesses who saw TM initiate the violence in response to a question such as, "Do you live here?".

The video starts out describing TM was first seen in the grass between two units which had both been burglarized previously.

What are you talking about? Be specific, or admit you don't know what you are talking about.

This was very interesting. Thanks for the link. Has anyone ever pointed out where the property( of TM’s father’s girlfriend) is located and where it fits into this tape. I think Tm doubled back to attack GZ.

Yeah, I don't know about that. But I would believe they both were accepted at Harvard.

Yale. It was Yale.

After all, the two would fit in better in New Haven.

Esp. if blacks are threatening their lives if they come to the “wrong” decision.
Look for jury names to be leaked...

Yale. It was Yale.

Yeah, probably both of them should have been sent to Yale.

Not true. The dispatcher told GZ not to follow him.

Actually, according to the transcript, the dispatcher told GZ, after asking whether GZ was following him, that they didn't NEED for him to follow TM. ...though that may not have been available when you made that post.
