You are absolutely right. I believe there are more (D) conservatives than we can imagine out there wishing for new options. Here in Utah they are Democrats mainly because of a misconception that Mormons are Republicans. In our world, (art dealers) most of the real players are conservative. Here in Utah most are also Democrats.
Thats why trying to ‘fix’ the gop is a waste. Some Dems will NEVER vote GOP just because of the name and baggage. But they may well support many conservative ideas WITHOUT the GOP attached.
Thank You for your kind remarks and including me in the To: line with Two of the Giants. I’m humbled.
“I believe there are more (D) conservatives than we can imagine out there wishing for new options. Here in Utah they are Democrats mainly because of a misconception that Mormons are Republicans.”
Exactly, Binger. Aside from the vocal (import) parasite mob of leftist D’s in Salt Lake City proper, you are on spot about resident democrats in Utah, in my experience here, too.
Time was, our differences were minor. The progressives left the thoughtful part of the D party as the GOPe left us.
We’re now a divided society, with a one party system.
We want our republic back.
