Those pesky unintended consequences — can pack a bite!

But, hey, Nancy said they needed to pass it to find out what was in it.

Well, they are finding out — it is a disaster, a train wreck.

Well duh. That’s a given. I am wondering why the liberals are talking this way now?

They have been known about for a long time.

They were told over and over that it was unworkable and will cost an arm and a leg, but they ignored it.

They wanted to give the Kenyan boy a Legacy.

Well FRiends he will have one.Hopefully this will be the last Kenyan we will ever elect

I tend to adhere to the notion that is was well known and fully anticipated that it would be unworkable.

Once the old system was dismantled and the new system was found to be a "train wreck" (according to Sen. Baucus-D-MT), the failure would be blamed on Republicans and the only solution proposed for the future is single payer.

Only a complete and utter moron would not have been able to predict how this would all turn out. Obama and his gang are not morons. They are devious and diabolical, but not morons.

I would like to know this:

The Obamacare employer mandate is supposed to start January 1, 2014. That date is written into the law. How can the president, or his administration, just decide to extend a deadline which is written into the law, without Congressional action?

The individual mandate is likewise in the law as starting January 1, 2014, and that date is not being moved.

So, are we at a point at which a president just ignores certain aspects of laws he doesn’t like?

The implications are not good, for issues beyond Obamacare and other liberal causes.

Also, Obamacare was passed in March 2010. It was being phased in slowly, so we were told, so that everyone would have plenty of time to adjust and make plans for the new law. So after over 3 years of planning, we’re saying that the employer mandate won’t happen on schedule, that they need more time? Why is this? Is the Obama administration incompetent?

Will any such questions be asked on the talking head shows on TV, or will the media give Obama a pass on the problems of Obamacare????

Delaying will remove some heat until after mid-term elections.

But based on your comments, will the American people re-elect the Democrats who so totally screwed up healthcare, when those same Democrats say that the answer to problems is socialized government run healthcare????

Maybe I’m looking at it wrong, but Democrats have to take the blame for Obamacare. So, having taken blame for it, voters are going to listen to Democrats who say that this time they have the answer, and the answer is socialized medicine?

Or, look at another way, since Democrats were so wrong about Obamacare, what makes anyone think that they would be right about socialized medicine being the ultimate answer? They were so wrong before, so why would they be right now about that being the answer to our healthcare problems????

Fellow Freeper, you have way too much confidence in the American voter. They believe anything, and they want free stuff. I have seen the dumbest comments by liberals who really do blame Republicans for all of Obama’s failures. According to them, we would have utopia now if Obama had been given a free hand. Yes, when people see a problem caused by government, they always call for more government to fix it. They are that stupid.

I did not elect Obama. I do believe you are correct, but not in the way you think. I believe, until proven otherwise, that Obama will be the last Kenyan elected, I also believe that he will be the last elected President. I do not believe that he will willingly leave the White House when his term expires. I do not believe that by then, we will have the National stomach to do what will be required to evacuate him.

Oh, I wish your analysis would be right, but it’s far too logical.

Republicans are always to blame. If not for Republican opposition, we would have had single payer. We had to settle for Obamacare because Republicans wouldn’t go for single payer, so that was the next best thing.

People are going to be so fed up, that they will settle for anyone who has an answer. If it’s single payer, they’ll buy it.

What answer do Republicans have? None that I’ve heard.

We live in a nation of total and absolute idiots.

Please excuse, but it was a Democrat who wouldn't go for single payer.

As it was, not a single Republican voted for Obamacare -- not in the House, not in the Senate. The Republicans were uniformly against both single payer and Obamacare as it is.

Actually, it was Sen. Joe Lieberman -- officially an Independent, but he caucused with the Dems -- who forced the Democrats to dump single payer. He was the 60th vote for the bill and he refused to provide it until the insurance companies in his home state got a piece of the action.

Accordingly, the original House bill -- which was single-payer -- was replaced by the current version of Obamacare.

I hope you are right and I am wrong. I seen the will in 2000, but I don’t see it now. I wish I could, but I just don’t. WE should have raised holy hell about obamacare being rammed down our throats. We should be raising hell about Obama, on his own, deciding to delay implementation until 2015 in order to give the Democrats an advantage in the 2014 elections, we, up till now, haven’t. We should still be raising hell about our phones being tapped and the information gained being used against us politically, but we haven’t. But so far the theme has been, “It is o.k as long as it keeps me secure. It prevents terrorism”. I won’t even go into the Water Town incident where the police behaved like the Germans of the 30s rounding up Jews. I know this because I referred the videos to my brother who was stationed in Germany during the 1970s. He looked at them and said, “That is exactly what the old German said happened when the Nazis were rounding up Jews.” So all in all I do not we now have the stomache to do what it would take to fight. I wish it was not so, but my race is about run and I was born free and I fully intend to die free, but that is just me.
