Day 19 (Week #4) Zimmerman Trial – Witness Discussion Thread
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | July 5, 2013 | Sundance

Posted on 07/05/2013 4:54:41 AM PDT by Uncle Chip

Today, July 5th, is DAY #19 (of 4th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.

The State is expected to wrap up their case today – A great recap of the trial so far is available HERE: The key witness today expected to be Sybrina Fulton, mom.

Great Expectations? Remember, as y’all have noted during the 15+ months of research, there is so much corruption in the assembly of this case we could expect the State to avoid the traditional witnesses brought by normal prosecutions. We have not been disappointed in our predictions. The state has already won a pre-trial motion to bar the defense mentioning the absence of any witness from the State’s case.

So it comes as no surprise, not a single State investigator has been called, not a single FBI officer, only one local investigative detective, Chris Serino (who supported the defense), and now the profound possibility they won’t even present the Seminole County Medical Examiner. So has the State actually even proven that Trayvon is indeed, deceased? Without the M.E. the ballistics are essentially moot – where did the aforementioned bullet come from? They have not established it came from Trayvon’s body. Think about it.

Because of pre-trial ‘motions in limine’ to exclude the defense bringing it up, O’Mara cannot mention it. Would/Will the jurors notice a missing M.E. = Trayvon blood tox. etc?

C’mon. Cut the kid some slack. He said he was an Army brat and he’s obviously proud of his dad. So he doesn’t know the rank structure well or the little inside jokes like “working for a living”. It’s not like he’s being disrespectful.

I don’t believe you were ever in the military.

I would cut the kid some slack, if he hadn’t claimed prior service. Ignorance of military jargon, rank, etc. is no big deal, but stolen valor is a very big deal.

I'm a semi-prepper. I live near a pond (lots of water and fish) and I have a rifle and lot's of ammo (.22 lr)...and other stuff for defense.

I probably need to get my fishing poles in working order...I was never good at fishing.

I'm in the deep South (South Ga), it won't get particularly bad around here...too many folks are armed.

That said, I spent most of my career in NYC and can say that there are too many folks up there who haven't a clue as to how to get along from day to day. The Appalachian Trail will look like a freeway moving South.

Unlike the message of the TV series, Fallen Skies, the stores/warehouses of food will be depleted ASAP. Then one must hunt and fish.

My local squirrels are nervous. But I have fed them for 4 or 5 generations...time for them to feed me.

You gotta boil the living crap out of squirrels to get them tender...but they’re better than shoe leather.

LOL! You're kidding, right? Those idiots probably have never heard of the Appalachian Trail. They'll just start walking down the Jersey Turnpike/I-95.

MAn when your just a Sgt you haven’t got time to worry about the uppre echelon! You see it on the sleeve or lapel and you know it and and respect it! I doubt but a few service members have seen this patch on The Command Sgt MGR’s sleeve let alone know the rank! The the average soldier he is a partner of the mission and you just walk by and thats that!
Service people have lives and kids and bills to pay and could care less about Rank! But if in close quaryers of yes it is known! Service members just do the job they have to do.
Commanders ask no more or less than what that job requires.
The Military is not about tyrants asking for accolades for status but a job well done by all! That is the Goal!

Haven't eaten a squirrel since childhood. Had them as pets from time to time...really nice pets

If I remember correctly, they are best cooked long and hard in rice...primarily as a meat flavoring. Too much muscle.

Some of my best friends are the yard squirrels...I doubt I will eat them unless I am starving.

And there are too many fat humans around to worry about eat muscle bound squirrels.

;-)

Do the math. If he’s telling the truth, then the senile newb is probably somewhere between 78 and 90 years old. Notice that he also keeps replying to himself.

Civilian 40 years, takes us back to 1973. Retired, so was in before 1953. Vietnam, Korean War and maybe even WWII. His dad was probably a WWI vet.
