Someone already mentioned it, but that word is one of the oldest in the English language. It derives from Old High German (the ancestor of Anglo-Saxon/Old English and modern German), which is the reason that the German word is virtually the same (replace the "u" with an "i"). After the Norman invasion, French became the language of the upper class in England, so Anglo-Saxon words became "lower class" words (DeeDee-speak, if you will). Combined with the fact that the Church frowned upon discussing "unclean" bodily functions, the short Anglo-Saxon words for sex or defecation became "bad" words to use (as they showed your lack of class/status). Even so, many Englishmen still used them somewhat commonly (Chaucer even uses "sh*tten" as a descriptive term in the Canterbury Tales, meaning "to be covered in feces"). Just FYI...
Serino is being a bit disingenuous here. He played the tape here for Mr Martin to let him know what his son was doing that got him killed — beatin the crap out of someone while they screamed for them to stop.
That’s why you find one that practices outside of the area he lives in or one retired as an attorney.

They would need Zimmerman on his back with his sinus cavity full of blood and his nose broken, and someone no top of him, to get the correct tone of voice and pitch.
“Could they put Zimmerman on the stand to only scream the same scream he yelled out on that fateful night, or would that open him up to further questions, if he only sat on the stand and screamed the same words?”
A great answer from Serino would have been: “Why would I think Zimmerman was denying those are his screams on the tape when he told officer Smith he had been screaming for help and nobody came?”
