Ten Aha! Moments in the Zimmerman Trial to Date
American Thinker ^ | 7/9/2013 | Jack Cashill

In April 2012, the office of Florida State Attorney Angela Corey drew up an affidavit of probable cause against George Zimmerman for the second-degree murder of Trayvon Martin.

The affidavit was loaded. Martin was walking back to the townhouse "where he was living" when Zimmerman "profiled" him. Zimmerman "assumed Martin was a criminal." He called the police. The affidavit cited Martin's phone "friend" to attest, "Martin was scared because he was being followed by an unknown male and didn't know why." Again, according to the affidavit (and this was critical): "Zimmerman confronted Martin and a struggle ensued." Martin's mother then "identified the voice crying for help as Trayvon Martin's." Zimmerman admitted shooting Martin, and that apparently was good enough for the prosecutors.

For the next year, the major media accepted the affidavit as gospel. In so doing, they prepared their audiences to believe that George Zimmerman would be convicted for the killing of Martin. He won't be. Every interesting revelation in the trial so far has supported his innocence.

Here are ten such revelations:

A good summary of why this event should have never been prosecuted in the first place.

The cop saying that he though GZ was telling the truth (which the judge ordered the jury to disregard)...GZ expressing hope, soon after the incident, that someone had photographed/filmed the incident..."cracker"...two cops testifying that they heard TM's father say that it wasn't his son screaming...THC,at a level that the ME said could affect his thinking/behavior,having been found in TM's blood (particularly given that GZ told 911 that the guy was swaying and appeared to be on something)...at least one witness saying that it was the guy in *red* who was on the bottom and that person was getting the tar beaten out of him by the guy on top....

There's more...in my mind.

If Zimmerman is convicted, I believe it will cast the entirety of the American “justice” system into doubt. Any normal, sensical human being can see this is a clear-cut case of self-defense. If Zimmerman is not acquitted, it will prove that the courts and juries can be “bought” with threats of violence.

On the other hand, if he’s acquitted, I won’t gain much respect for our legal system, it’s already a joke, but at least I will know that I can continue to walk this Earth without fear of prison for defending myself or my family.

“why this event should have never been prosecuted in the first place”

Yep, that's what happens when the state bows to a certain ethnicity's complaints instead of following the rule of law. IMO the sheriff that was removed for not filing charges on GZ should fill suit on the city for wrongful removal.

Re: . The State did not call on Cutcher to testify. Prosecutors had very good reasons not to.

I missed that info. So what were the reasons they didn't call her?

You may avoid being found guilty, but you can't avoid "the ride". The new standard is "Punishment first, then the trial." Have a nice life comrade.

Yep, that's what happens when the state bows to a certain ethnicity's complaints instead of following the rule of law.

In this particular case, black racists used the threat of mob violence to intimidate and coerce State officials. Black racists used the threat of violence to influence matters of law and government policy.

That seems to me to meet the definition of "terrorism". Je$$e Jacka$$, "Fat Al" Sharpton, Barack 0bama, and others should be indicted and put on trial as domestic terrorists.

Perhaps... but you'd best steer clear of certain parts of town, and be alert everywhere else.

Why didn’t the author elaborate on why the prosecutors didn’t call on Cutcher? Sloppy.

The color-coded coloreds have a long habit of being very noisy and obnoxious ... Those of us who share Martin Luther King’s “dream” must loudly and regularly point out the color-coded hypocrisy of terrorists like Je$$e Jacka$$, “Fat Al” Sharpton, and Barack 0bama.

Andrew Branca writes and tweets daily from the courtroom as he watches the trial.

Many FReepers are following the trial at http://legalinsurrection.com/

Andrew has written a book concerning self defense laws across the country. I purchased a book from his blog (where he often tweets out discounts) and am looking at purchasing a couple more for friends.

Very instructive especially considering the ordeal that Zimmerman has unjustly experienced.

Mary Cutcher Propaganda Press Conference

Perhaps the detail took too many words to explain so an editor cut 'em out?

If George Zimmerman is not convicted, there will be those who will be more than happy to enact the L.A. Riots all over again. I plan to take our boat out into the middle of Lake Winnipesaukee, drop anchor, and stay there til it’s all over.

Honestly, I don’t even want to think about the death and destruction.

Unless there are repocussions against the people who brought these charges despite the evidence, I will still fear that prison may await me for defending myself or my family. I will still do it, but I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they try this again unless they are seriously slapped down.

It seems that the more that Ms. Cutcher spoke, the more her story changed...

A little humor in your solution -

“so, you’re assuming the rioters, being black, won’t/can’t swim? That’s racist!”
