That video is BS The only uncomfortable moment is when the tube passes your gag reflex. That is done quickly, maybe a small gag occures....Then its painless and not at all uncomfortable...You test to make sure tube went into stomach and not lungs. As far as taking out an NG tube, you just tell the patient to lay still and in about 1 second the tube is out without pain or being uncomfortable. Have done many when working in the hospital...
