I worked in health care for years and during that time I dealt with many Down’s Syndrome patients...adults (because our hospital didn't have a pediatric service).I found these people, even when ill and in pain,to have gentle,”sweet” dispositions and to be a pleasure to work with.Of course they have a serious disability but for God's sake don't kill them for *that*!

"...even when ill and in pain,to have gentle, sweet dispositions" People who are acquainted with Down's are aware of how that spirit changes the lives of everyone around them for the better. They are the "sweet" in the punch bowl every time for a family.
