Louramkkha Jusitrilem of the Miami Dade NAACP Youth Council talks about the George Zimmerman trial to a concerned group gathered at the North Dade Regional Library, July 9, 2013.
For two hours Tuesday, nearly 200 people gathered to listen to faith-based leaders, attorneys and police call for peace after the verdict is announced in the George Zimmerman trial.
Billed as a community briefing, the meeting inside the North Dade Regional Librarys auditorium in Trayvon Martins hometown of Miami Gardens was described as an event to inform, empower and protect our community before what is expected to be an emotion-filled day when the verdict is announced.
Somebodys going to be disappointed with the outcome of this trial, said Walter Richardson, chair of the Miami-Dade County Community Relations Board, which hosted the meeting.
Its alright to be vocal. Its wrong to be violent. We already lost one soul, Wright continued.
The evening touched briefly on a dark side of the countys past when the acquittal of four Miami-Dade Police officers in the death of Arthur McDuffie led to violent riots in the 1980s.

Too bad St Skiddles never got that message! He'd still be alive today.

Five dollars says no.
The plans by the authorities for black rioting amount to standing around while arson, looting, crimes of violence against whites occur. The aforementioned conclusion is based upon observation of actual riots.
Ya think satan gained a soul though?
Miami-dade is a d-rat sewer. Avoid it. It’s like massachusetts/kalifornia of the south.
Hokey Smokes Bullwinkle!
What’s interesting is they are acting like they are certain Zimmerman will be acquitted. So that means they must know that the case was utter BS from the start, that it was a clear cut case of self defense. Yet I have no doubt if he is acquitted they will scream racism and all the usual crap ANYWAY which tells me they never gave a damn about this case in the first place.
Citizens should have a very public town hall meeting at a gun range, where citizens can get their guns cleaned and get some target practise. That would be the way to settle people down beforehand.
I like the “Justice for Trayvon” shirt. Seems to me that was already meted out.
Nice meeting of the usual suspects. Nice try on the “why can’t we all just get along” kum-bay-yah session. Of course there will be riots anyway.
There WILL be riots. Like I stated before, throw the crowd basketballs and it will be peaceful.
I now suspect more than a riot. A “government sponsored” riot. And that could become very deadly.
Judicial Watch has now released documents that show the Justice Department was actively supporting and subsidizing anti-Zimmerman protests back in March and April.
Today, after some years, the Justice Department just released a report condemning the Miami police department for excessive force. Implied in this is that they want to slow down any tactical response to a riot.
Thus it is reasonable to assume that the Justice Department is not only encouraging a riot, but perhaps arming and equipping rioters to do much more damage. If they are totally committed to fomenting a riot, they may even supply rioters with military grade equipment, such as explosives and incendiaries, and sniper rifles.
